Tap Therapy

The National Center for Health Statistics indicates that one in five children in the USA qualify as overweight. Obese children are being diagnosed with high cholesterol and diabetes. Inactivity and poor nutrition are the culprits in this epidemic. Tap dancing improves cardio function as well as memory. This form of dance builds both quick short muscle endurance as well as increasingly challenging a participant to commit specific dance patterns to memory and execute those patterns physically. A participant need not be a great dancer nor athletic to reap the benefits of this active art form.

Tap therapy may help children with issues involving:

  • Depression

  • Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD)

  • AAA (Anxiety? Anger? Addiction?)
